UKMTO Warning 116-26, issued the same day as a time-late report, records a separate bulk carrier struck by an unknown projectile at approximately 2200 UTC on 15 August. Starboard-side damage and a crew casualty. The hull is unnamed. It is not established that these are the same event as 115-26 or any earlier warning.

The wider picture remains one of continued attempts to move commercial traffic through a waterway that Iranian officials have described as under their exclusive control and that the United States has sought to restrict. Some vessels appear to transit with AIS switched off. That practice is usually revealed only when a ship is hit.
