Hormuz: two ADNOC ships attacked, and a separate UKMTO UAV report
On the evening of 13 August, ADNOC said two of its vessels were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. No one was hurt. The same day UKMTO reported a UAV strike on one unnamed tanker. It is not established that these are the same event.
On the evening of 13 August 2026, ADNOC said two of its vessels were attacked while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. No one was hurt. The company said the situation was under control. The ships have not been named.
The same day, UKMTO reported a UAV strike on one unnamed tanker leaving the strait. It is not established that this is the same event as the ADNOC pair. Treat them as two files until someone official ties them.
What happened
ADNOC, via WAM on 14 August, confirmed the two-ship attack on the evening of the 13th. The UAE foreign ministry said Iran carried out the attack on two ADNOC-affiliated vessels. That is the official UAE position. Iran has not accepted responsibility. There is no confirmed attacker in Seavanta’s voice.
UKMTO warnings 111-26 and 112-26 describe one unnamed tanker hit by a UAV at 1552 UTC on 13 August, outbound through Hormuz, with minor damage, crew safe, and no pollution. The two warning numbers carry the same text. They are not two ships. Reporting places the event near Khasab. Khasab is a location, not a hull.
No official names have been released. There is no 13–14 August JMIC product in the Security file.

Not identified. No names are invented here. The UKMTO tanker is not put on the ADNOC pair without a name.
