GFS PRIDE sunk in Hormuz. Sister GFS GISELLE hit, still afloat
Live-AIS.com, 14 October, relaying a Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore statement: two Singapore-registered container vessels, GFS PRIDE and GFS GISELLE, were reportedly struck by unknown projectiles while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on 13 and 14 October 2026 (Singapore Time), respectively.

GFS PRIDE sustained damage and a fire on board, and has since sunk. All 21 crew members were safely evacuated. No injuries reported.
GFS GISELLE sustained hull damage and has since arrived under its own propulsion at a safe anchorage. All 22 crew members are safe, with no injuries reported. No Singaporeans on board either vessel.
MPA is in contact with the vessels’ management company and is monitoring the situation. The original MPA page is not in this pack. The Live-AIS post is the only clip of that statement.
Javier Blas, 14 October 17:54 UTC, three Sentinel-2 frames via Copernicus: aftermath of the sinking of GFS PRIDE. A field of floating containers. Two oil tankers exiting the waterway in full daylight. Close-ups of the field.
No attacker is named beyond “unknown projectiles” on the relayed MPA text. No IMO, no position of the wreck, and no UKMTO or JMIC paper on these two hulls is in this pack.
The operational point is the field. A sunk container ship leaves boxes on the water. Those boxes are the hazard for the next hull through the same lane.
