UKMTO 124-26. Tanker reports three projectiles east of Khasab

UKMTO Warning 124-26, issued 31 August at 2000 UTC from a company security officer, reports an incident 17 NM east of Khasab, Oman.

A tanker reported being struck by three unknown projectiles while completing an outbound transit of the Strait of Hormuz.

UKMTO printed no casualties and no environmental impact. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report suspicious activity to UKMTO. The warning does not name the tanker.
